Placebo

after whole week raining, the sun finally showed up yesterday and i figured next sunny day would be after Christmas,
so we went to 5th ave. and did some shopping there and then some sightseeing afterwards.
~
it’s already Dec 21st right now and nothing has happened yet.
though according to those “apocalypse” believers’/Maya’s theory the doomsday is gonna be 11:11 GMT Dec 21st 2012.
but to me, it’s just BULLSHIT.
i don’t want to quote what i have learned from astronomy 101 class to bring those noobs down.
but hey, just use some brains and listen/watch some news, that would help a lot.
~
it kinda reminds me of a theory i learned in a psychology class named “placebo”.
“Placebo effect”is a well-known phenomenon happens a lot in hospitals/labs.
despite its controversial existence (some argue that it violates doctor-patient confidential relationship), in most cases, it actually helps the patient with his/her well-being.
and one word could simply explain this phenomenon – hope.
everyone has the will to live.
and hope is what that drives that.
so everyone has his/her own “placebo”, kids, parents, loved ones, friends…
~
anyway.
regardless what’s gonna happen and what’s not, life goes on.
and after all, rumors would just be rumors.
happy holidays,
and until next post.

Love the gentle feeling of that first shot, those hues work so well together.
Thanks! So glad you like it!
